Cmdexa beta terms of use

Last updated: 6 October 2026

1. Who offers Cmdexa

Cmdexa is offered by Paweł Meller, a sole proprietor (individual business registered in CEIDG), Kaszubska 7, 81-813 Sopot, Poland, registry identifier NIP 5833097492, REGON 385413838 ("we"). Contact: kontakt@cmdexa.com.

2. What these terms cover

These terms apply to the Cmdexa Windows agent, user helper, the relay at relay.cmdexa.com, its dashboard, and the public website, during the beta. By installing the agent, pairing a device or using the service, you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how data is handled.

Cmdexa is for professional and business use by adults. Consumers (people acting outside a trade, business or profession) may not use the beta.

3. What Cmdexa does

Cmdexa lets an AI client you choose (for example ChatGPT) inspect files, run commands and read logs on a Windows computer you choose. The agent connects outbound to our relay, and you control access by pairing, approving and revoking.

4. Use only on computers you may administer

You may connect only:

  • computers you own, or
  • computers you are allowed in writing to administer for the purpose you use Cmdexa for.

You must not use Cmdexa to access, test or change any system, account or data without the owner's permission. You must not use it for anything unlawful, to build or run malware, to bypass another person's security controls, to capture other people's screens or private information without their consent, or to harm others.

5. You are responsible for what you let the AI do

Treat access like giving an operator a terminal on your computer.

  • Commands can run with high privileges. On a standard install they may run as SYSTEM.
  • The AI client, not Cmdexa, decides what to ask for. You decide what to approve.
  • Read approval prompts. Do not approve what you do not understand.
  • Keep tokens, pairing codes and installer commands secret. Do not paste them into chats or bug reports.
  • Revoke any device you no longer use or no longer trust.
  • Keep backups of anything you cannot afford to lose.

6. Safety features are guard rails

Read-only mode, approvals, workspace limits, secret-path blocking and redaction reduce risk. They are not a sandbox and they do not catch every harmful command or every secret. Cmdexa is built for a trusted machine you control, not for running untrusted code.

7. Beta status

Cmdexa is a beta. It can change, be interrupted or have bugs. Installers and updates may not yet be code-signed, so Windows can show warnings. We give no uptime guarantee during the beta and may change or remove features.

8. Your account, access and our right to act

You must keep the information you give us accurate. We may suspend or end access, for a device or a user, if we reasonably believe it is needed to protect the service, other users or the law, or if you break these terms. You can stop using Cmdexa at any time by revoking your devices and uninstalling the agent.

9. No warranty

To the extent the law allows, the beta is provided "as is" and "as available", without promises that it will be error-free, uninterrupted or suitable for a particular purpose.

10. Liability

To the extent the law allows, Paweł Meller is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, and its total liability for the beta is limited to the fees you paid for Cmdexa in the 12 months before the claim, or PLN 1,000 if the beta is free. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for intentional harm.

11. Feedback

If you send us feedback or a bug report, we may use it to improve Cmdexa without owing you anything for it. Do not include secrets in it (see the bug report template).

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For a change that matters we will update the date above and give registered users notice in advance. If you keep using Cmdexa after the change takes effect, you accept it.

13. Law and disputes

Polish law applies, without taking away mandatory rights you have under the law of your own country. Disputes go to the competent courts of the court competent for the place of business of the operator (currently Sopot, Poland) unless the law requires otherwise.
